How to Connect T-Online / Telekom Mail to Klearbox
T-Online requires a dedicated email-program password for IMAP access — separate from your regular Telekom account password. Set it up in the Telekom E-Mail Center in about 2 minutes.
Sign in to Telekom E-Mail Center
Go to email.t-online.de and sign in to your Telekom account.
Open settings
Click the gear icon to open settings, then choose "Show all settings".
Go to Passwords
In the settings menu, click "Passwords".
Set an email-program password
Click "Change password for email programs". Set and save a dedicated password. This is separate from your regular Telekom login password.
Enter it in Klearbox
In Klearbox, select "T-Online / Telekom" as provider. Enter your @t-online.de email and the email-program password (NOT your regular account password).
Connect and verify
Click "Connect & verify". Klearbox will confirm the connection.
Important: use the email-program password
- • T-Online uses a separate email-program password for IMAP — NOT your regular Telekom account password
- • Never share this password — treat it like any other password
- • Klearbox stores it encrypted until you remove it from Settings or delete your account
- • You can change the email-program password at any time in Telekom E-Mail Center → Passwords
About the email-program password
The T-Online email-program password is a dedicated credential for IMAP clients. It keeps your main Telekom account password isolated from third-party apps like Klearbox. Klearbox stores it AES-256-encrypted and uses it only to read email headers (sender, subject, date) to apply your filters — no email content is stored.
