How to Connect Yandex Mail to Klearbox
A Yandex app password gives Klearbox limited IMAP access to your mailbox — nothing more. Revoke it any time in Yandex ID security settings.
Open Yandex Mail settings
Sign in at mail.yandex.com, click the gear icon, and go to All settings.
Enable IMAP access
Go to Email clients, enable Allow access via IMAP, and save.
Open Yandex ID app passwords
Click your profile picture → Account settings → Security → App passwords.
Create a mail app password
Click "Create app password". Choose application type "Mail". Name it Klearbox.
Copy the password immediately
Yandex shows the password only once. Copy it before closing the dialog.
Enter it in Klearbox
In Klearbox, select "Yandex Mail" as provider. Enter your Yandex email address (yandex.com, yandex.ru, ya.ru) and the app password.
Important security note
- • Yandex only shows the password once. If you lose it, create a new one. Revoke old app passwords in Yandex ID security settings.
Two-step verification requirement
Yandex requires two-step verification to be enabled before app passwords are available. Enable it in Yandex ID if you don't see the option.
